John C. Wang

John C. Wang is a founding partner of Salas Wang LLC who concentrates his practice in immigration law.  With over 5 years of experience across naturalization, citizenship, and visas, John has served clients across the nation and understands the intricacies of the US immigration law and its processes.  Having immigrated to the US from Taiwan when he was just two years old, John knows the importance and pride in becoming a United States citizen. John is recognized for his honest, truthful approach and his veracity in defending clients.

Prior to Salas Wang LLC, John worked at an immigration firm as the Lead Attorney on Immigration, Family and Corporate Litigation, drafting appellate briefs for the 2nd  Circuit Court of Appeals, conducting patentability searches, registering state and federal trademarks, litigating  contract disputes in state and federal court in addition to managing and processing labor certifications.  He also filed motions and pleadings including immigration documents with the USCIS.

Prior to becoming an attorney, John was a mechanical design engineer at Tetra Pak Carton Chilled Inc. and Butler Technical Group,  driving new innovations and projects like dry foods Flip Lids and the 810 Large Wheel Loader emissions redesign for Caterpillar, Inc.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

John is a member of the American Immigration Law Association and the American Bar Association.

EDUCATION

John holds a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law where he was the International Law Society Vice President and a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society, Student Advocate Program, and the Asian Pacific American Law School Association.  John also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.
